In 1945, immediately after Adolf was sent running for the hills, a new leader of men rose to fame in Cumberland, giving people direction and decoration.
Arnold Cook started his first signwriting company in Penrith where he decorated the county's trucks and signs with detailed hand painted lettering and the finest of pinstriping and scrolls. Now 67 years on and Arnold's son 'John' is producing the highest quality vinyl graphics for a lot of the same companies vehicles as his father.
Using the latest technology available and a wealth of experience, John Cook Signs is producing some of the best quality, large-format graphics in the County.
. . . and for the future, John's son Alistair, the next generation of Cooks, has become very proficient in wrapping the County's vehicles with exciting hot graphics, making sure the 'Cook' name will remain synonomous with signage, especially vehicle graphics, througout Cumbria.
Regretably, Arnold Cook passed away earlier this year.
